We travelled to Uzbekistan this summer. I have to say that the country and its people exceeded our expectations. The bazaars, the sights, the madrassas, the landscapes, the light, the colours, etc.
Our trip was organised by a small company in Barcelona (Spain) called PERIMETRO VIAJERO that have contacts with a local operator. Our English speaking guide was a great fan of his country and made the most of our trip.
A word of caution though with the water, avoid tap water and salads as these are washed using tap water and one tip about money, you can bring in Euros or dollars, but have to be small notes and as brand as new and have them changed to the local currency, sums.
