Dreaming of New Zealand

As I’ve often mentioned before, New Zealand is hands down my favorite travel destination so far. It’s got great scenery, a laid-back atmosphere and a superb infrastructure that makes it a breeze to just explore and get lost in the country’s many beautiful landscapes. For Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday, here’s a photo recap (Part 1) of my New Zealand travels!

Absolutely beautiful! I’ve been wanting to go to the land of the Kiwi for many years…it’s definitely on my top 10 list, but seeing these photos makes me want to get on a plane today!

I guess those colors are for real, can’t wait to get there someday with my own camera! Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks for the comments guys :) And yeah these are photos from last year. Just seeing them makes me yearn to go back! Especially now that I have learned a thing or two about photography and am itching to try those skills :)

@Kymri: Yes, those colors are for real! From what some people told me, the unreal crystal blue colors on the lake is caused by the melting snow.

@Kerry: Scotland! Got photos? Do share! :)

New Zealand has always looked so incredible in photographs. It is definitely on my bucket list. Now I have to go wipe the drool off my monitor.

Beautiful shots. I’m in New Zealand now, and I’m shocked at the clear blue skies you’ve had! I’ll tell you the rugged West Coast certainly hasn’t been that clear and blue in weeks! Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks Sharlene, Matt!

Oh also, this was taken during summer in New Zealand, it was December when we visited. So perhaps the sky is just prettier during this time? It was truly.. breathtaking! :)
